The $249 USD installation fee includes the service and labor at $199 USD, and insured shipping for $50 USD. Installation is $249 USD on top of the $279 USD or $299 USD base price and includes return shipping via expedited air mail (2-3 days), insured for the full value of the camera. The modification costs $528 USD for installation with the SATA, and $548 USD for the NVMe option. For the time being, if you want to get the modification done you need to send your BMPCC 4K or 6K into Tilta. Originally the idea for the kit was that it could be installed by the user, but that won’t be the case to start with. The kit is made out of lightweight aero metal and carbon fiber and it has been designed in a way that it looks like it came directly from the Blackmagic factory that way. Tilta has added a Bridge Modul that gives you a USB-C port right next to an SSD connector The annoying port covers are gone and a new carbon fiber cover goes in with smaller port covers. The third modification is to the input section of the Pocket. Tilta is selling different options, but please be aware that the modification doesn’t come with any drives, you have to purchase those yourself. Not only does the kit allow the screen to articulate Tilta has reversed the USB-C input so an M2 drive can be installed in the space where the monitor used to be. However, Tilta is working on a future firmware update where you will be able to flip the screen display. Unfortunately, at the moment, the image will be upside down as the Pocket software doesn’t have a flip image option. The screen will fully articulate and even go into selfie mode. The Tilta modification gives you a fully functioning articulated screen that is a massive improvement over the original design.
